Minutes Secretary / Notes taker

Do you like keeping paperwork in order? Do you have a great eye for detail? If so, we could use your talents to help transform the lives of young people in our local community.

We are looking to for a note taker to record the actions decided at our group meetings and write the occasional email.

Our group trustee board and leadership team meetings play a key role in the management of scouting in our group. Both teams make decisions and set the direction of the support we provide to our leaders to ensure that the best quality scouting can be delivered to as many young people as possible in our sections. Both teams play a very important part in the day-to-day support we provide. In fact, we could not function properly without them.

Group Leadership team

Our Group Leadership Team is led by the Group Lead Volunteer and coordinates the strategic direction, operational workstreams and support provided by our wider group team.

Group Trustee Board

Our Group Board of Trustees is led by the Group Chair and plays an important part in the running and governance of our group. The team exists to support the Group Lead in meeting the responsibilities of the appointment and to provide support for group team.

Everyone has different skills to offer, come from different backgrounds and have varying experiences. This helps to ensure a variety of perspectives and a more rounded and effective team.

This is a small important role that is ideal for someone who would like to support scouting at group level but cannot currently commit to a more involved role on our team.
