Are you passionate about empowering young people, boosting their confidence, and helping them learn skills for life? Do you want to volunteer in a flexible, meaningful way, doing something that matters for your local community? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
About Us
Our 14 to 24 team are part of our local Scout District. The team helps to run and support our 14 - 24 provision which is made up of Explorer Scout Units, Young Leader support and our Scout Network. The team supports Explorer Scout Unit Leadership Teams, helps volunteers develop, and makes sure our 14–24 sections are accessible, inclusive, well-resourced and are valued locally.
As part of our team you will contribute to tasks that help maintain our 14–24 provision: from administration and communication to event-planning, networking, and supporting transitions (e.g. Explorer → Network, or to adult volunteering).
Why volunteer with us?
- Flexible commitment - you decide how much time you give. Whether it’s a few hours a month or more regularly, we value every contribution.
- Make a real difference - support young people aged 14–24 during a critical time in their lives: helping them build confidence, life skills, and a sense of community.
- Develop your own skills - teamwork, leadership, communication, event-planning, mentoring, valuable in any walk of life.
- Be part of a supportive, inclusive team - join a friendly group of volunteers all working together to give young people the best possible experience.
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to have previous Scouting experience - just enthusiasm, a willingness to support young people, and a commitment to inclusion, fairness, and the values of The Scout Association. Whether you’re a parent, student, professional, or retired, all are welcome.
